NZEFI Nissan Skyline GTR Injector (Ballast) Resistor Delete – Suits R32, R33 and R34 RB26DETT GTR models.
Nissan Skyline R32-34 RB26 GTR models were fitted with low impedance fuel injectors from factory. To reduce the current draw on the ECU’s injector drives and to protect the fuel injector itself, an injector resistor pack (also known as ballast resistor pack) was fitted by Nissan. This resistor pack was fitted in the engine bay near the right hand strut tower on RB26DETT GTR models.
When upgrading the factory low impedance fuel injectors to more common aftermarket high impedance fuel injectors such as Bosch 1000cc/min injectors or Injector Dynamics ID1000 injectors, the injector resistor pack must be removed and bypassed. This NZEFI Injector Resistor Delete provides this necessary bypassing function. Therefore, fitting the resistor delete is a simple as unplugging the factory resistor pack and plugging in the delete!
