Genuine Denso Toyota cam angle sensor (OEM supplier to Toyota)
As a general rule, this sensor fits:
- 3S-GE ‘Beams’ engines with either single or dual VVTi (NB: 2x sensors used on ‘Blacktop’ Dual VVTi engines)
- 1JZ-GE or 2JZ-GE non-turbo engines with VVTi (late 1996-on)
- 1JZ-GTE or 2JZ-GTE factory turbo engines
- Various 2ZZGE applications
This sensor will not suit earlier non-turbo or non-VVTi versions of these engines that have a distributor (as the cam sensor is inside the distributor).
Specific fitment examples include:
- Toyota Supra JZA70 (1990/08 – 1993/05) with 1JZGTE engine
- Toyota Supra JZA80(1993/05 – 2002/08) with 2JZGTE engine
- Toyota Altezza JCE10W, JCE15W (2001/06 – 2005/07) with 2JZGE VVTi engine
- Toyota Altezza SXE10 ( 1998/10 – 2005/07) with ‘Beams’ 3SGE engine with dual VVTi
- Toyota Caldina ST210, ST215, ST246 (1997/08 – 2002/09) with GenIV ‘Beams’ 3SGE with single VVTi
- Toyota Celica ST202, ST202C (1997/12 – 1999/08) with GenIV ‘Beams’ 3SGE with single VVTi (SS2, SS3 models)
- Toyota Celica ZZT231 (1999/08 – 2006/04) with 2ZZ-GE engine
